Battle of the Year 2010 Finale in Frankreich

Nach 20 Jahren Battle of the Year in Deutschland hat sich das Organisationsteam dazu entschlossen, dass Battle of the Year in diesem Jahr in Montpellier/Frankreich auszutragen. Datum wird der 20. November sein, Location “La Grande Salle” in Montpellier. Neben dem großen Finale mit allen internationalen B-Boy Crews wird das Rahmenprogramm vom Battle of the Year 2009 fortgesetzt und ausgebaut. In Planung sind wieder ein Tanztheaterabend, ein 1 vs 1 Battle, das 2 vs 2 We B-Girlz Battle, Workshops und vieles mehr.

Die Entscheidung aus Deutschland weg zu gehen ist dem Team des Battle of the Year nicht leicht gefallen. Die deutsche B-Boy Szene und auch das treue Publikum liegt uns allen sehr am Herzen. Wir waren jedoch der Meinung, dass der Veranstaltung nach 20 Jahren etwas Neues und Bewegung gut tun würde. Eine Rückkehr nach Deutschland in den nächsten Jahren ist nicht ausgeschlossen.

Weiterhin stattfinden wird natürlich das BOTY Germany, welches am 21. August 2010 wieder im Pavillon / Hannover ausgetragen wird. Es ist geplant diese Veranstaltung nach dem Weggang des internationalen BOTY auszubauen. In Planung sind auch hier ein Tanztheaterabend, 1 vs 1 und 2 vs 2 Battles, Workshops und einiges mehr.

Die internationalen BOTY Vorentscheidungen werden wie in jedem Jahr ab April / Mai 2010 beginnen.

Das BOTY Team bedankt sich bei der deutschen B-Boy Szene, allen jahrelangen Unterstützern und natürlich bei der Stadt Braunschweig, die dem BOTY von 2001 bis 2009 ein Zuhause gegeben hat!

Battle of the Year 2010 Finals in France

After 20 years of Battle of the Year in Germany the organisation team decided to move the Battle of the Year to Montpellier/France this year. Date will be the november the 20th, location “La Grande Salle” in Montpellier. Beside the big final event with all international B-Boy Crews the side programme from Battle of the Year 2009 will be continued and enlarged. Planned again is a Dance Theatre Night, a 1 vs 1 Battle, the 2 vs 2 We B-Girlz Battle, Workshops and much more.

For the organisation team the decision to leave Germany was not easyto make. The German B-Boy scene and the constant audience is really important to us. But we thought that after 20 years for the Battle of the Year it is time to move on and start something new. A comeback to Germany in the future of course is possible.

The national German BOTY qualification still will take place in Germany, date will be august 21st in the Pavillon / Hannover. After the moving of the international event we plan to enlarge the national German BOTY qualification. Planned is another Dance Theatre Night, 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 Battles, Workshops and more.

The international BOTY qualifications as every year will start in April / May 2010.
